praetorian in the service of Diocletian was sentenced to death by the emperor for having testified his Christian faith. He serves his martyrdom shot by countless arrows, as he is depicted but he will not die. He will be rescued by a matron. Once healed he will declare his faith to Diocletian, who, this time will complete the martyrdom.
